How to connect your Instagram account to Noolu

Connect your Instagram account in about 2 minutes. This guide shows every screen you’ll see, from Meta’s login to your synced posts and reels.

Before you start

Two settings in the Instagram app

Meta requires a Creator account with message access turned on before automations can deliver DMs. Both settings are in the Instagram mobile app and take about 30 seconds.

  1. Switch to a Creator account

    In the Instagram app, go to:

    1. Profile
    2. Menu (☰)
    3. Settings and privacy
    4. Account type and tools
    5. Switch to professional account
    6. Creator

    Free, and takes about 15 seconds. Business accounts work too, so skip this if you already have one.

  2. Turn on “Allow access to messages”

    In the Instagram app, go to:

    1. Settings and privacy
    2. Messages and story replies
    3. Message controls
    4. Connected tools
    5. Allow access to messages

    Switch the toggle on. This lets Meta deliver automated DMs.

Step by step

Connect your account in five steps

Here’s exactly what each screen looks like on Noolu and on Meta.

  1. In Noolu

    Step 1: Open the Connect page and tap “Connect with Instagram”

    In your Noolu dashboard, go to the Connect page. You’ll see the official Meta Instagram connection card.

    • Go to noolu.pro/connect on your phone or desktop.
    • Tap the orange Connect with Instagram button.
    • You’re securely redirected to Meta’s official authorization screen.

  2. On Meta’s screen

    Step 2: Confirm the right Instagram account

    Meta asks you to continue with the Instagram profile you’re logged into. Make sure it shows your Creator handle.

    • Check that the avatar and handle match your Creator account.
    • If they’re correct, tap Continue.
    • If you’re logged into a personal or secondary account, tap Use another profile and sign in to your Creator profile.

    If Meta shows a personal or secondary account, tap Use another profile so you don’t connect the wrong account.

  3. On Meta’s screen

    Step 3: Allow permissions and keep every toggle on

    Meta lists the permissions Noolu needs to automate your comment replies and send direct messages to your followers.

    • View profile and access media (required)
    • Access and manage comments (required for comment triggers)
    • Access and manage messages (required to send automated DMs)
    • Tap the blue Allow button to return to Noolu.

    Make sure Access and manage comments and Access and manage messages are both switched on, then tap Allow.

  4. In Noolu

    Step 4: Noolu connects automatically

    As soon as you tap Allow, Noolu exchanges credentials with Meta and subscribes to webhooks for you. There are no extra steps.

    • A green Webhooks active badge confirms the connection.
    • Your handle and avatar appear right away.
    • Your access token is kept fresh and renewed automatically.
    • You can disconnect or refresh the connection at any time.

  5. In Noolu

    Step 5: Your posts and reels sync automatically

    Open the Posts page to see your real Instagram feed. Tap Automate on any post or reel to set up a keyword trigger.

    • Your recent reels, photos and carousels load automatically.
    • Tap Automate under any post to attach a keyword flow.
    • When someone comments your keyword, Noolu replies and sends them a DM instantly.

Common questions

Account types, permissions and what Noolu can access.

Why does Meta require a Creator or Business account?

To protect personal accounts, Meta only allows third-party automation tools on professional (Creator or Business) accounts. Switching to Creator is free and keeps all your content and followers.

What if Meta shows the wrong account when I tap Connect?

Your browser may have remembered an older personal account login. On Meta’s account screen (step 2), tap “Use another profile” to switch to your Creator handle, or open instagram.com in your mobile browser and log into the correct account first.

Do I need a Facebook Page to connect?

No. With Instagram’s official Login API, Creator accounts connect directly using their Instagram login. No Facebook Page is required.

Is my Instagram password shared with Noolu?

Never. You log in directly through Meta’s official OAuth window. Noolu never sees or stores your password, only an access token granted by Meta, which you can revoke at any time.
